The coronavirus is spread between people via tiny droplets of fluid, whether that’s through the air or via contaminated surfaces. These droplets can be expelled into the air primarily through coughing or sneezing—hence the reason social distancing measures call for at least 6 feet of space between individuals. According to the FDA, there is currently no evidence that coronavirus transmission occurs through food. Keep up with the same steps you normally take to prevent foodborne illnesses.
